has been selected to aid competency

Worldwide telecommunications group Team Telecom Group (TTG) have selected Access to provide its new manufacturing, service management and professional services solution. The telecoms solutions provider from Derby was looking for a new solution to increase competency across their various worldwide companies.

"With five different companies mixed together our existing IT infrastructure was inarticulate, inefficient, with time consuming reports and KPI's" said Sonya Wright, continuous improvements manager at TTG. With the implementation of Access Supply Chain & FocalPoint, and Access Service Manager;we have one central solution across multiple sites handling all their accounts, projects, procurement and stock management.

Sonya explained, "Of all the systems we looked at Access Supply Chain showed the best fit with our business; the system is flexible, customisable and user friendly to our needs.A contributing factor in our decision to buy Access Supply Chain were the time sheeting, reporting tools, stock management and the cost of the system."

The new system will allow TTG to automate almost all of their manual processes, centralise their information and benefit from improved reporting. "At the moment is our stock management spread across numerous different spreadsheets. Having all the information on one database will significant increase efficiency across the whole company. Some staff spend every day only compiling reports; with the new system the time it takes will be significant reduced," observed Sonya.

Access Service Manager will be used at the company's network operations centre for its repair, asset, and maintenance management contracts and for its resource planning. "We wanted to put in place provisioning for disaster recovery, especially for our 24 hour network operations centre, when we reviewed our IT strategy . The best technology to serve our customers was provided by Access," observed Sonya.
